Men just don't get

the whole packing thing. Its all about carry-on (well I could carry on but it won't help). I need to get EVERYTHING IN THIS CARRY-ON for five days. *insert eyeroll* This just about holds the books I *NEED* (because well its all about entertaining Lynn) not to mention the various scrapbooking albums I need to take because of the family reunion. And we can't forget the necessary beauty products that take up a suitcase of their own. All of which the officials at homeland security just don't get. Women need to be in charge of that. Beauty products are ESSENTIAL - especially when going to the shore. ALL because DH does NOT want to CHECK any luggage. *insert frown face w/the tongue sticking out*. And then you can't just throw in clothes because you don't know what MOOD you'll be in on any given day. You have no clue about the WEATHER (hot/cold all factors in) and the the MOST IMPORTANT thing is can you FIT into the clothes and be comfortable ON ANY GIVEN DAY. ALL the above have to be factored in - which is why driving is sooo cool because you can make allowances for all that. Checking luggage has its moments because you can allow for that. It also allows for extra walking through the airport as well. You just have to have the correct attitude about it...So I'm hoping DH has some extra room in HIS suitcase because there are a few minor items i still need. Um like make up, hair dryer (which looks in itself like a weapon of mass destruction-all chrome and size) another 2 pairs of sandals -because its all about happy feet and ONE PAIR will so not do). Oh and the camera *gasp* which will be carried in my backpack and NEVER left behind and of course more assorted books for my reading pleasure.

Total eclipse of the moon

My version of the lunar eclipse w/o a tripod. *insert eyeroll* It took FOREVER for the lens to close but I think its kinda cool. Abstract art even. I waited until it got a bit lighter, but by then cloud cover was all over it. Ah well. And then the full moon. I worked in customer service for awhile and you can TELL w/o a lunar calendar when it strikes because Murphy's law totally runs amok during that time.
The kidlet is off to school yet again. Alarm clock has not done its job for him yet again. I do have to admit getting up BEFORE the chickens gives you a jump on things.
The sweet lady who's watching our dogs while we are at the shore, met them yesterday. Although a few growls were let out, only to let her know they were afraid of her, everything went swimmingly. I feel better about this than the kennel thing.
My pal April and I had a the battle of the layouts yesterday and of course she totally won, but I got all my assignments completed. Now I just need to figure how to get them uploaded while I'm gone. Or just be late. I can be late.
Dh and got some exercise last night pedaling all over and took the kidlet w/us. Riding w/the kid is like riding w/a gnat. *insert eyeroll* He jumps, twirls, wheelies while circling around you while your riding. Of course I'm the greatest trick rider since Evel Kneivel (not) so most of my time is spent avoiding collisions. Sigh.
Did some retail therapy on Sunday- after church. Went the mall w/o the kid. Picked up a cute pair of skechers for 30% off and spring step sandals for 50% off and some underwear. I hate buying underwear - its such a crap shoot. Anyway had to return said undies and just went to Victoria's Secret where I should've went to begin with. But they planted those dead sea ladies/men outside there and they always pounce on you when you go by. Of course their product is good if not really expensive. However the little missy who snagged me the last time removed 20 years from age, for which I begged the question - then why would I need your product. Bwahahahahaha!! Mary Kay is my best friend. "nuf said.

Wow! The streak continues for posting......

Well spend 30 minutes riding around trying to find the kennel where these two (can't get the 3 to play nice together for a photo, plus the red headed step dog were going to stay, however, the lady obviously doesn't know where she lives. Sigh. Going down another avenue now. We'll see how that pans out. Not much else going on. The kidlets alarm didn't go off this a.m. so it was up closer to six but it did start off at 5:30 A.M. Way way tooo early. Trying to get a layout done right now, but its laughing at me. Actually I need a title. It'll come. Eventually.

Two in a row............could be the start

of a streak. LOL!!! This is my semi-new ride. And it fits perfectly - my feet can actually touch the ground. Go figure. DH and I both have one. We've had a lot of fun peddling, in my case fat bottom(s), all over town. Doncha just love the Queen-Fat Bottom Girls-it's a classic. Gotta love a man (and I use the term loosely here (pc cops get over it)) that love a fat bottomed girl. ROFL! Its more fun when there's a destination in mind. We've ridden to Applebee's for dinner 3.7 miles one way - and get this! I don't sound like an obscene phone call at the end of it. Gotta love that. DS has new ride as well. Yes he's a boy and YES its pink - because chicks dig my ride mom. Okay. I can feel a collective mother's sigh here. He'll ride w/us but OMG! he's such a GNAT. Truly. He jumps, twirls and generally makes a pest of himself, which is his job and he does it well. He showed me how to pop a wheelie but when I lean back and look tough my tires never leave the ground. I know that surprises you.

Blogging Baffles me

yet here I am um..... blogging. Why because I feel left out and my web site is woefully behind. Will this be any better. Can we say DOH?????
