Just a few tags on the page

I jacked this from somewhere but honestly,
I can't remember because I cruise a lot of scrapbook
blogs and videos.
It had to have been a blog because I'd remember the video
(maybe LOL).
Anyway, thanks!!!
I just love having the tags all over the page and it was
fun to do.
Then to decorate all the tags was a hoot as well
again, not wigging out because "some" don't "fit."
It's a page 😲 and I found it quite
freeing to not worry about those things.
I also used up a lot of stash which is very cool.
And would you believe I still have more tags.
And that washi tape - I love the words on it and used
it to make a fun mini title to guide you through the page.
This was a lot of fun just because and its whimsical.
I'm coming to love whimsical.
I love the way it came out and I'll be doing this again I'm sure.
So I found a photo of me riding a gondola up Vail.
I'm trying to not look LOL!!
Thanks to Tom I can see the view was beautiful now
(I did look when I got off the gondola).
Anyway the photo came because of the "lift tickets"
and I used the stamps that came in the Summit kit.

Did some layering

It just sort of evolved after layering PL cards all together
with no other plan in mind except
I did want a grid design with 3 sets.
I even added all the embellishments and without
worrying about if it would be too weird
to have a pig on the page.
An adorable pig but a pig nonetheless.
So after everything was on the page I realized
hmmm where was the title to go and
journaling. Tim Holtz tiny words to the rescue for journaling!
And then, the title just rolled and I found photos of
Miss Amelia when she was a tot (she's gonna be 7 soon)
sheesh, but these photos of her exploring the
beach was a good one to go with the tag
because how adorable is she.
I love these tags and there's more to come.
I know you're excited.

Hello - a disaster averted

I love this paper and wish I could see more of it.
However.....
I stamped just start around the edges which looked
soooooo cool... And then,
I decided watercolors and mists were required.
So using the packaging technique I
splatted it all about - I can't even tell you what colors I used.
It looked beyond stupid and really bad.
BUT I LOVED THE PAPER.
Therefore, I whacked out a piece of black cardstock
big enough to cover the stupid and really bad watercolor.
Well the black looked ho-hum so let's do some more
stamping because things were working out so well.
Using vanilla enamel paint on a polka dot
background stamp actually didn't come out too bad.
I love those tags!
Somehow I got two packs of them in this kit
and love how they work with the glassine bag.
Then I needed to hunt down a photo.
A lighthouse and boat in Grand Marais MN.
It is a beautiful place - we camped there for the night
and dined at the dockside fish market
that had this view.
The food and the view were delish.

So of course I designed the page and then picked a
photo that had journaling to go with.
Therfore, there's another tag tucked into the glassine
bag behind the photo because seriously
can you really have too many tags?
(And that question will be answered in another post 😏)

An adorable homemade tag

made this page.
I put this tag together for no particular reason
along with others and it works
perfectly on this page.
That deer punch still makes me swoon!
Thanks Holli.
The star and clock are very thin wooden
embellishments from Studio Calico - and they
are perfect.
(I remember the "thin wooden" from back in the
day but not sure what it's from - anyone else remember?
They seem to be making a comeback)
Those embellies are very cool and actually quite delicate.
The heart is part of it too.
A bit of mists in the background is quite dramatic
setting off that lovely dinner of ribs
that just melt in your mouth. If you ever get to
Memphis - you need to hit Beale Street.
It's a happening place.

Shine! A Christmas Page

Photoplay papers from my LSS didn't come easy
as they are all "heavy" papers.
Therefore, I rolled with white and that seems to tame
it down.
The mists that are in the background using
the packaging technique look closer in real life.
 Sort of.
Love the banners and the puffy embellishments
scattered about.
And Sam, the youngest grandkidlet enjoying
his Christmas presents and a snack.
Can't go wrong with that.

Valentine's cards

for the grandkidlets are done!!!
Working with some watercolors, stamps and a bee die cut
I've had for awhile.
The inside has some stamped hearts and a Happy
Valentine's day!
Now to get them in the mail on time.
I cut it real close the last time.

An old acryllic album with some leftover Pink Fresh

Resulted in an adorable mini album.
I thought I had been done with the Pink Fresh
and I'm glad I wasn't.
I really love their papers and need to get more.
(After I completed the album I found more PF paper scraps
that would've been good to have LOL)
This became a birthday present for a friend and it
was really a lot of fun to make - hunting down and using
any possible scraps and leftovers.
Love a good challenge and also when a plan comes together.
It's soooo fresh and pretty!
I did forget how tricky acrylic is - getting things
to stick and working front to back without
making a mess with the adhesive.
There were only 6 "pages" so a pocket page
with tags was in order to add more stuff.
The instagram frame is popped up so
a photo can be slid right on in.
More stuff is always a plus.
I just had to include the PL card for selfie fail.
How fun is that
and I totally have a lot of those.
I wanted to use a glassine bag because
I do have a lot of them and they
add so much to a page.
Tucked in photo and journaling.
And of course the back is tricky.
I would've loved to do more but I didn't
want it to be tooo bulky.
So that PL card says it all.
For some reason I cannot leave the rings
empty, blank, untouched.
Sooooo ribbons.
Yum.

Making a wild page - wilder

Because why not.
This is the SC January kit - Summit and
This paper just spoke to me in all
its colorful, wild glory
that I knew my leftover flamingo
would be soooo perfect.
(The flamingo was leftover from the "cards"
I made for the grands. See here.
More pink and really more pink
how wrong can that be???
And then found the perfect PL card to use as a title.
Little bit of journaling in the
 conversation bubble.
Then I went to some older photos because I
knew I had some flamingo pix
with Owen in them.
And yup. Jungle Gardens when he visited in 2013.
Of course a frame is required to contain
some of the wildness.
This was just a lot of fun.

Documenting the Facebook collage

of most liked photos of 2017.
Love the collage - I seem to be
rolling with collages
A LOT.
In hindsight I probably should've made the photo
bigger but I pre-made this page
and that's what I rolled with.
Using a glassine bag as the mat for
the photo and embellishments
I appear to be in a lot of those photos.
Oh well.
The page is so much fun, I love
the crazy looking flowers.

Studio Calico - Dear Lizzy? I think.

Documenting the Instagram top Nine

How fun was that to do!!
Love the clever things they come up with
and what's more fun it's to
document it on a scrapbook page.
Rolled with 6x12 size - because I love it
and I had the B side available
in the page protector.
What better reasons than that?
So I took a screenshot which covers
 the journaling.
I need to make a note to use Instagram more
but frankly it's almost an after thought.
Plopped the matted photo on an oversized banner
with an oversize title
 and
minimal embellishments.

I started the page by stamping feathers

And then fussy cut them out.
Love the way they lay curled on the page.
(they really are curled)
I then broke out when of my background stamps
of dots along with some paints -
Studio Calico - yellow 05 Color theory and
Heidi Swapp screen paint - pink and blue and put
all three on the stamp and went to town.
Love how it turned out and it broke up the
black and white.
Except for the stamped background this page
turned out quite monochromatic.
It totally works too.
Changed the photo to b&W
because the colors were wild and the b&w just
worked. Really well.
We were celebrating Memorial Day with a cookout
And we had bathing suits on sooooo the
less seen the better LOL.

Scrappin' with my pal Holli once again

It has been awhile so.......
Love having a girl day - we have lunch
talk about stuff - lots of stuff and
I had a stroll through her stash and found
this stencil.
Gasp.
It is soooooo cool and reminded me of
Amelia's hair do.
Used some modeling paste and wa-la.
 Love how it turned out.
I really wanted to have these cool circles so shopping
around at my pal's cricket choices
she made a really big O!
But I wanted it thinner so I whacked it down myself.
I know.
Set some Heidi swap hearts and arrows
and poked around in Holli's stash for the copper
enamel dots.
Circled them around the stencil using some
of the kraft flowers from SC sale worked perfect
on the "circle."
Added a doily and a photo frame
and that deer peeking out.
How cute is that.
Love the tiny title too - I'm really likin' this.

Celebrate 8x8 size

Had this old Studio Calico paper that just screams
P * A * R * T* Y
Funny story - when I cut down these stars I did NOT
do so with the word celebrate in mind.
It just fit and I was all like
WOOHOO!
 And what's a party with a banner.
Oh and the 2017 at the bottom
didn't preplan that either.
Doncha just love it when a plan comes together. 😏
Love how it turned out.
Very fun and festive!

August birthday - she's such a sweetheart.
Tuesday too.

Switching up to 8.5x11

Because I liked both sides of the paper and
I wanted 2 photos on the page
and because this is for Jill's album and I usually do 8x8.
Love the snow capped mountains and the "snowflakes"
that came in the Studio Calico December kit.
And when would I ever use Winter Wonderland.
And there's new snowboarding jargon that has been
reflected in the title that has snowy glitter on it.
How perfect is that.
Love that title.
Anyway the grands love the snow.
The love snowboarding which looks to be a lot of fun.
Maybe when I was younger.
Nope Nope Nope - don't like heights.
But its fun to watch.
And the #1 biggie - I am NOT that coordinated.

Now this is a collage

Got this photo over the wire and love it.
Capsulates a lot.
This is the kind of collage I'm looking for.
If I had a better memory - this is how it's done in PSE.
But alas, I can't find the videos that were out there with
step by step instructions.
Yeah I'm still whining about that. LOL.
Love the cute fox going on - another punch
that my pal Holli has and she's gracious
enough to punch a bunch out for me.
It's a fun page.
Tossed some mist about and cut down
the numbers ot fit.

Be yourself

Rolling with 6x12 size because the paper
happened to be whacked down to that size.
Actually it may be a tad smaller but it fits in the page
protector so I'm rolling with it.
Fussy cut that camera out and doodled around the heart
and the page. I have been doing a lot of
doodling about because it just seems to finish off the page.
Playing around with pic collage again and
it was kinda painful.
I really wanted a collage look like yesterday's page.
These are pre-done and you can't make
too many adjustments which was frustrating.
It came out okay.
I did change all the photos to black and white
and they are all selfies with me in all of them and
a mix of grands, hubby, favorite youngest son -
all peeps from our travels this past year.

All Studio Callico, some watercolors and Pink Fresh title.

Them together and I'm crushing on the moose

I totally love this photo, it's so much fun and so telling.
They are all growing up way.too.fast.
Also love that it's black and white.
I did this cluster - that I love, but didn't take
in account for a title.
Thus, the small title on the photo that I really, really like.
 And that moose.
I can't seem to stop using them but they
really work so well on most everything.
Studio Calico and Tim Holtz.
Gasp.
I didn't use any splatters.
I still like it anyway.
